This is a part of many products that we make for the USA company named Intact Idea LLC. /Flair espresso, who designs , develops , manufactures and market level espresso makers and aggregated products and tools for the specialty coffee market. They have the ideas, but no dedicated designers to support the product from concept to reality, but FCE can do, whatever realizing or cost saving.

The part is called stand fixed clamp which is used on a partial of automotive coffee grinder machine. it is an insert molding part, that injection molded with Polycarbonate(PC) resin and put the copper insert in the plastic during injection molding process.

Since it is a holder, so the strength needs to be enough to hold the grinder, the PC material is better choice from whatever cost or property. since it also requires screw to be created and plastic don’t be enough to hold the thread directly, so we use the copper with thread instead. The insert molding is a commonly used way in the injection molding area to create the thread.
With the insert molding, it no needs separate action to apply the thread on, so it both saves the actions and the cost, around 10% saving in the cost. Meantime, the strength can fully meet customer’s quality requirement. The product is fully roll in the mass production and have the great feedback from customer.
